In the heart of the Urya Mountains, a legend had long been whispered among the villagers — a tale of an ancient, unspeakable horror that lurked within the ruins of Durymar Castle. For generations, the story had been passed down, each retelling adding a new layer of dread to the already chilling narrative.

It was said that long ago, the castle had been a thriving stronghold, a beacon of power and prosperity in the region. But then, something went terribly wrong. Rumors spoke of a dark ritual gone awry, of a malevolent force summoned from the depths of the abyss. The once-proud castle fell into ruin, its inhabitants vanishing without a trace, leaving behind only the eerie whispers of their final moments.

As time passed, the legend grew, whispered by firelight in the villages that dotted the mountain slopes. Parents warned their children to stay away from the ruins, to never venture near the crumbling walls where the Ancient Creeping Horror was said to reside.
